We want to see you in action! Please share photos of yourself engaging in positive environmental activities like conserving water, reducing waste, planting trees, biking instead of driving, and more.

Feel free to provide a short description of what you were doing in the photo and how your actions help the environment (It does not have to be as long as my example below). It's great to spread awareness of all the little ways we can make a difference each day.

After you submit your photo, Scott the Environmental Coordinator will be in touch to follow up. You'll get to choose an item like a reusable water bottle, compost bin, or reusable shopping bag as a thank you for your participation. By sharing your personal environmental efforts, you can inspire friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors to make changes too. Your actions could be the catalyst for creating a more sustainable community.

Leading By Example

Here I am after a recent creek cleanup at Coleman Creek. Our community group picked up bags of trash that had accumulated along the waterway. As you can see in my photo, the haul included can, plastic bottles, food wrappers, and other debris that doesn't belong in our beautiful natural areas.

By taking the time to properly dispose of this trash, our efforts help keep Coleman Creek clean and healthy. The removed litter will no longer pollute the water or threaten the fish, birds, and other wildlife that rely on the creek habitat. And the area is now much more enjoyable for community members who walk, bike, or picnic along the banks.

It may seem like a small act, but cleaning up creeks and public spaces makes a real difference. Now animals can thrive and neighbors can safely appreciate the outdoors. I had fun chatting with fellow volunteers while giving back to the environment.
